Japanese Handkerchief

A popular gift / souvenir, this cotton handkerchief's use cases are as diverse as it is simple.

The original pattern created for this Tenugui is a reference to the more traditional dot patterns, giving a contemporary interpretation. Using weather data collected in the Fujisan area, each dot represents a day, while the size of the dot represents the cloud coverage of the same time of each day, Such natural variations created a generative pattern that is both humanistic as well as natural.

As for the production, FUUUN collaborates with one of the most respected makers of Tenugui in Japan: Kamawanu to produce this unique good.
